Smriti Mandhana-Palaash Muchhal Wedding Called Off: Music composer Palaash Muchhal and Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana have officially called off their wedding, which was earlier scheduled for November 24, 2025. What was expected to be one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year has now come to a quiet and emotional end, followed by the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram.
Meanwhile, the days before the planned ceremony were filled with unexpected emergencies. Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was rushed to a hospital in Sangli after showing heart-attack-like symptoms. Due to the family crisis, the wedding celebrations were immediately put on hold. Only a day later, Palaash himself was hospitalised after experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing. While both families tried to keep things private, speculation quickly spread online, with some social media users accusing Palaash of cheating with a choreographer. The composer dismissed these claims as false and baseless.

Shortly after sharing their official statements, Palaash and Smriti unfollowed each other on Instagram, signalling a decisive step towards moving forward separately. Smriti has deleted all engagement and wedding-related posts, including the viral proposal video from DY Patil Stadium. This was the same venue where India’s women’s team lifted the 2025 World Cup trophy, making the moment especially memorable for fans. Palaash, too, has now removed the proposal video and the celebratory World Cup clip from his account. A few older posts remain, but his comment sections are filled with reactions from fans, many of whom are still processing the news.
