Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year. The movie stars Prabhas in lead role and now, it has been confirmed that Triptii Dimri has been roped in as the leading lady of the film. “The female lead for my film is now official,” wrote Vanga on his official X account.

Soon after the announcement, Triptii Dimri took to her Instagram account and wrote, “Still sinking in…. So grateful to be trusted with this journey Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga ..honoured to be a part of your vision.”
Deepika Padukone was rumoured to be the female lead in Spirit, but reports suggest that the collaboration may have fallen through. Alleged reasons for the potential deal-breaker include request for a capped 8-hour workday, Rs 20 crore fee, profit-sharing demands and concerns over delivering dialogues in Telugu, complicating negotiations.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed during the promotion of Animal (2023) that the protagonist in Prabhas-starrer movie Spirit hails from a middle-class background. This marks a departure from his previous films, Animal and Arjun Reddy (2017), where the male leads came from affluent families.
Spirit is expected to go on the floors this year. The movie is being jointly produced by Vanga and T-Series and was announced in October 2021. It is after Spirit that Vanga will work on Animal Park.
