Sunjay Kapur's family along with Karisma Kapoor's kids have been in the spotlight for not the right reasons. The late businessman has left behind an empire of Rs. 30,000 crore, which has led to a feud over inheritance. The actor's children, Kiaan and Samaira, have now filed a case in the Delhi High Court. According to their allegations, Sunjay Kapur's will was falsified by their stepmother, Priya Kapur, so that she would be the only beneficiary. Amidst the chaos Sunjay's sister, Mandhira Kapur, has come forward to back Karisma Kapoor and her kids.

Sunjay Kapur's sister Mandhira Kapur has extended her support to Karisma's kids. She stated that the High Court's order will assist in resolving the matter because, according to an ETimes story, the billionaire's will left nothing for Karisma Kapoor's kids Samaira and Kiaan. She said, "I'm very happy about it because finally the family will know something and have some knowledge about anything really. I believe in the justice system in India, so I’m hoping it will bring more clarity, more visibility and transparency to everything."

Mandhira Kapur added, "I stand by them because I do not think that if anyone knows the relationship they have had with their father and for their father not to have them a part of the will, it just doesn’t add up. Doesn’t make sense. So I stand by them."

Mandhira Kapur's comments, which emphasize the children's moral and legal claim to the inheritance, may have an impact on public opinion as the lawsuit develops. She told ANI that she was happy the court's ruling will finally provide some clarification for the family in response to the most recent incident. She said she had faith in the Indian legal system and thought the action would guarantee greater openness.

Sanjay Kapur's mother, who joined Samaira and Kiaan in contesting the will, said she was wrongfully excluded from what she thought was her Rs 10,000 crore share. She claimed that everything changed and she was left with nothing after Sunjay married Priya Sachdev. Mandhira Kapur Smith, standing by her mother, noted that the family was still awaiting answers and that Rani was not informed about the trust.

Mandhira responded that there are still too many unsolved questions when asked if there is a chance that the family will get back together. Given the involvement of both her mother and Sunjay's kids, she emphasized that no resolution could be reached without total openness and clarity.

Meanwhile, the court has ordered Priya Kapur to reveal all of Sunjay Kapur's assets, both immovable and movable, as of June 12, 2025. The case has been rebutted by Priya's senior attorney, Rajiv Nayar, who claims it cannot be upheld. For months, the legal dispute is anticipated to drag on, attracting public and media interest.
