Deepika Padukone and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga are in the news due to the ongoing controversy surrounding the movie Spirit. After her exit from the project, Triptii Dimri stepped in to star opposite Prabhas, which led to an online debate. Amid this, an old video of Deepika from the promotion of her 2020 movie Chhapaak began circulating widely on social media. The actor, who also produced the film, was seen replying to a question and making it clear that she invests her own money in her productions and that her husband Ranveer Singh's money is not involved. Netizens were quick to notice that actress Tamannaah Bhatia liked the post, suggesting she was lending her support to Deepika in light of the current issue with the Spirit makers. However, Tamannaah has broken her silence on liking the viral video, blaming the Instagram algorithm for it.

In the viral video, Deepika is heard saying, "Excuse me, yeh mere khud ke paise hain. Kisne bola yeh? Yeh meri khud ki mehnat hai." The clip had a text, which read, “Propaganda she is not falling for: Disrespect, men, sexism, gender pay gap, working overtime, unprofessionalism, misogyny, double standards.” Tamannaah Bhatia’s reaction to the clip created a buzz, but she put a full stop to this.

This is not the first time, a celebrity has blamed Instagram algorithm for their viral likes. Earlier, Indian star batter Virat Kohli said a similar thing after fans noticed his like on Avneet Kaur's post. He issued a statement on his Instagram story, stating, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

Now, fans are connecting the situations of both Tamannaah and Virat.

On the work front, Tamannaah has an exciting lineup of films in the pipeline including No Entry 2, Vvan, Ranger and an untitled film with John Abraham.
