Thamma Advance Booking: Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui appear in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe film Thamma, which will be released in theaters on October 21. The official plot line of Thamma read - "Two star-crossed souls fight for love in a world where nature, bloodlines, and destiny conspire to tear them apart." Even while ticket sales for the film were mediocre at first, organic purchases significantly increased by the second day of bookings.

Thamma made Rs 7.11 crore from block bookings and Rs 3.18 crore from organic ticket sales. The horror comedy will be screened 10,595 times in India, with 10,184 showings in Hindi 2D, 103 in IMAX 2D, 101 in 4DX, and 207 in Telugu.

Thamma is expected to generate approximately Rs 30 crore on its first day at the Indian box office, according to industry estimates. It is important to keep in mind that this is gross collection rather than net collection, even though the sudden hike in Thamma collections does seem encouraging.

If the film had been released on Thursday or Friday, Thamma might have benefited from the longer weekend. But a release on Tuesday, the primary Diwali day, may be disastrous. This is similar to Salman Khan's Sikandar plan, in which the film could have made a lot more money if it had been released on Thursday or Friday instead of the Sunday that was Eid.

The Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe has produced hit movies like Munjiya, Stree, and Stree 2. However, earlier releases like Roohi and Bhediya didn't do as well at the box office.

What To Expect From Thamma?

Known as a 'bloody love story,' Thamma tells the tale of Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana), a historian who unintentionally awakens Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), an ancient vampire king. Following this, he develops feelings for a mysterious vampire named Tadaka (Rasmika Mandanna). The plot centers on their illicit romance as they deal with the ancient vampire king's obstacles.

Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy realm has always had creatures, and this time around, vampires are the primary attraction. The creators have also been keen to emphasize the romantic element of the title, marketing it as 'our first love story' in the world. Another advertising slogan is 'some love stories bleed forever.'
