The Bengal Files Box Office Collection Day 11: The Bengal Files has had difficulty maintaining pace despite initial excitement due to fierce competition from recent movies such as Baaghi 4 and The Conjuring. The powerful political drama re-examines the Direct Action Day communal riots that occurred in Calcutta in August 1946. Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, and Mithun Chakraborty all play important parts in The Bengal Files. The film directed by Vivek Agnihotri made Rs 0.3 crore on the eleventh day, bringing its total earnings to Rs 14.4 crore, according to preliminary estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk. The movie had a 16.65% overall occupancy rate on Monday, September 15.
The Bengal Files made Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.75 crore on Sunday, after opening at Rs 1.75 crore on its maiden Friday. However, weekday collections fell sharply, falling to Rs 1.15 crore on Monday. The Bengal Files has not succeeded as well in terms of scope or momentum as Agnihotri's 2022 release, The Kashmir Files, which went on to become one of the highest-grossing movies of the year.

The Bengal Files hasn't been shown in any West Bengal based theaters since its September 5 countrywide premiere. Vivek Agnihotri said it was 'disheartening' because Bengal-set films could not be seen by the state's viewers. In fact, the filmmaker claimed that Trinamool Congress workers threatened theater owners in West Bengal, stopping the movie from being screened. Additionally, he asserted that despite 'all necessary permissions,' the trailer launch event in Kolkata on August 17 was interrupted.
However, on September 13, the Union Ministry of Culture hosted a private screening at the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Bhasha Bhavan auditorium within the National Library complex.
