Anurag Kashyap’s brother Abhinav Kashyap has been gaining attention for his bold statements and shocking claims towards actor Salman Khan. The duo worked together on the movie Dabangg, and since then, the director has had a strongly opinion about the ‘Khan Khaandaan.’ Dabangg recently completed 15 years in Bollywood, with a successful run, creating a huge fanbase. But contrary to the movie’s popularity, the director didn’t have a decent relationship with the leading actor. In his recent interviews, Abhinav openly talked about Salman Khan’s behaviour on the film’s sets and his work ethics.
Abhinav Kashyap once again candidly spoke about Salman Khan and his aura as a star in the industry. During a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, the director expressed that Salman had an image of a ‘mawali’ and a ‘chhichhora’ after doing movies like Wanted and Tere Naam. But the actor was expected to leave behind that for Dabangg. Abhinav revealed that he had first approached Arbaaz Khan to play the leading actor for the cop movie, but the star offered to produce it and arranged a meeting for Abhinav with Salman Khan, so that they could discuss the project.

Making further revelations, he stated, “I wasn’t involved in the decision-making; I was told that decisions had been made,” referring to the casting of the leading actress in the movie, Sonakshi Sinha. He also mentioned, “My opinion on Salman Khan and his family stands. They are not normal human beings. They are proven criminals. He’s out on bail. He’s a convicted criminal, out on bail. A criminal is a criminal. There are things that even I know. Salman’s image at the time was that of a chhichhora, someone who would harass women on the streets. He had a very unflattering image, that of a crazed lover or a roadside Romeo. He also had that towel dance.”
Abhinav Kashyap recently slammed the actor for sabotaging his career and called him a ‘gunda’, questioning his work ethic. He further asserted that the Khan family as a whole is vengeful and focused on industry dominance. He called Salman Khan 'the father of the star system' in Bollywood, coming from a family that has been in movies for more than 50 years.
