Vaani Kapoor is gearing up for her upcoming web series, Mandala Murders, which is nearing its release on July 25 on Netflix. She will be seen playing the role of a detective in the series. As she is making her OTT debut, she also talked about films, especially War 2. The actress, who was part of 2019 film War, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, is not part of Ayan Mukerji's upcoming highly anticipated movie starring Hrithik, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. Vaani recently broke her silence on not being part of War 2. She playfully revealed her thoughts by stating that if Tiger Shroff comes back, she's willing to return for the sequel.

Vaani Kapoor On Not Being Part Of War 2

During promotions of Mandala Murders, Vaani recently shared her reaction to the sequel to War. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she said, “No, I wish them the best. I feel incredibly grateful that I at least got the opportunity to be a part of a film like War, the OG War. It is looking beautiful. It is cinematic. It is larger than life. Kudos to the team.”

Revealing how she would have made the comeback to War 2 only if her co-star Tiger Shroff was part of, Vaani quipped, “Me, Sid (director Sidharth Anand), and Tiger are all not there in the sequel. Tiger and I both passed away in War. So I said, if Tiger comes back, I’m coming back too, my friend!”

War was a major box office success upon its release in 2019. The movie starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, its gripping storyline and power-packed action sequence made fans demand a sequel.

However, War 2 is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars new faces including Jr NTR and Kiara Advani along with original cast member Hrithik. The movie marks his return as agent Kabir with a new antagonist, agent Vikram, played by Jr NTR. The film is set to hit theatres on 14 August. War 2 will face a clash with Coolie starring Rajinikanth at the box office.
