Vivek Oberoi Joins Prabhas And Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit; Says He’s ‘Super Kicked’ To Bring Action To Life

Spirit Movie Update: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has officially joined the cast of Spirit, the much-awaited action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas in the lead role. The news was revealed on Prabhas’ birthday (October 23) with the launch of the film’s unique sound story, which offered fans a glimpse into its intense and emotional world. With its fresh concept, intense storyline, and star-studded cast, Spirit promises to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2025, blending action, emotion, and Sandeep’s signature storytelling flair.

Vivek shared his excitement on social media, writing that he was “super kicked” to be a part of the film and teasing his mysterious character with the line, “#OneBadHabit is all it takes to get you #inspiritmode.” The “sound story” served as a creative way to introduce the film, using only voiceovers and background music instead of visuals. It begins with a conversation between a jailer and his assistant about a former police officer now in remand, played by Prabhas. The powerful audio teaser ends with Prabhas saying, “Since childhood, I have had one bad habit,” a line that has already become a fan favourite and reflects Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s signature style. Music composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s background score added to the gripping tone of the teaser, building anticipation for the movie’s release.

Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi’s announcement quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media to welcome him back to Telugu cinema. Many speculated that he might play the antagonist in Spirit, while others praised his previous performances in films like Lucifer and Rustum, saying his presence would elevate the project. Comments such as “Welcome to Rebelwood, sir!” and “Your comeback will be greater than the setback!” showed how warmly audiences received the news. Although the makers have kept details about his character secret, his post hinting at “one bad habit” suggests he will have a significant and possibly dark role in the story.
