The actor, who is also a model, producer, and theatre artist, was recently featured in Chhath, a film commemorating Bihar's cultural and spiritual history. What's more interesting is that the Bihar Election Commission recently appointed Neetu Chandra as the state's SVEEP icon. The actor made voting a source of pride and involvement by conducting district visits and running interactive campaigns.

Who Is Garam Masala Actor Neetu Chandra?

Neetu Chandra made her Bollywood debut in 2005 as the lead in Priyadarshan's comedy flick Garam Masala, which also starred Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. The actor once commented on her sudden stardom, saying, "Garam Masala was a superhit. Because of Priyadarshan sir, I was sure that the audience would like this film. Even today, people call me 'Garam Masala Girl.'"

Neetu Chandra was born on June 20, 1984, in Patna, Bihar, and graduated from Indraprastha College in Delhi. The actor credits her achievement to her mother, Neera Chandra, who is from East Champaran. She began her career as a model, appeared in numerous advertisements, and eventually moved into the movie industry.

Neetu made voting a source of pride and involvement by conducting district visits, running interactive campaigns, and maintaining an active social media presence. The results were clear: Patna Sahib recorded 58.92% voter turnout, while Phulwari Sharif had 57.89% – both among the highest in urban Bihar.

Neetu Chandra's project has boosted Bihar's democratic spirit and set a new standard for civic engagement in India.

Neetu Chandra demonstrated her acting abilities in the Telugu film Godavari (2006) and Madhur Bhandarkar's Traffic Signal (2007). The unique aspect of Traffic Signal is that Neetu spent a week on the streets of Mumbai. She prepared for her character by living on the streets.

Neetu Chandra has also appeared in Hindi films, including Oye Lucky Oye (2008), One Two Three (2008), 13B (2009), and No Problem (2010). Her production business, Champaran Talkies, produced the Bhojpuri film Mithila Makhan, which won a national award. The film was directed by her brother, Nitin Chandra. She appeared in the Hollywood show Gown and Out in Beverly Hills
