Ahaan Panday’s debut movie Saiyaara was released yesterday, July 18, 2025, and proved to be a great success at the box office. As per a report in Sacnilk, the film opened with Rs 20 crore on its first day, which is an impressive number for a debutant’s movie. Though Ahaan Panday is a fresh face in the Bollywood industry, he is not new to the ins and outs of it, thanks to his family background. Ahaan is actor Chunky Panday’s nephew and Ananya Panday’s cousin. While people praised the star kid for his excellent debut, they still wondered about his family background, who raised the next shining star of the industry.

Ahaan Panday’s father Chikki Panday, also known as Aloke Sharad Panday, is a businessman. He holds a position on the Steel Consumers Council, which operates under the Government of India, and serves on the Telephone Advisory Committee within the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. He is also the founder of a charitable organisation Akshara Foundation of Arts & Learning.

Chikki Panday’s connection to the filmy world is not only restricted to his bond with brother Chunky Panday, but also goes back to a deep-rooted friendship with one of the megastars of the industry. According to a report in Hindustan Times, Chikki Panday is a close friend of Shah Rukh Khan. He, along with Chunky Panday, helped SRK during his struggling days.

Reportedly, he is also the one responsible for Salman and Shah Rukh’s patch-up at the late Baba Siddique’s 2013 Iftar party. It was one of the most talked-about moments at that time, when SRK and Salman buried their hatchet from their 2008 fallout at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. As per the reports, it was Chikki Panday’s idea to bring Salman and Shah Rukh Khan together at the Iftar party. He also had a good connection with Baba Siddique, so his idea of reconciling the two big Khans of Bollywood actually worked out.
