Sanjay Khan’s wife Zarine Khan breathed her last on November 7, 2025. She passed away at her Mumbai residence at the age of 81. Zarine Khan’s funeral took place in Mumbai today, where her son Zayed Khan performed the final rites in accordance with Hindu traditions. The actor grew emotional during the ceremony, breaking down as he bid farewell to his mother. While many mourned her passing and expressed their sorrow online, some netizens also questioned the choice to conduct the last rites as per Hindu customs. Zarine Khan's last rites were performed according to Hindu traditions because she was born Hindu. Her last name was 'Katrak', before she got married to Sanjay Khan.
Zarine's last rites were performed at Juhu crematorium. Several Bollywood celebrities came to pay their last respects to her. Sussanne Khan's ex-husband and actor, Hrithik Roshan, was also seen arriving at Zarine Khan's funeral. Other notable celebrities included Bobby Deol, Rakulpreet Kaur, Jaya Bachchan, Aly Goni, Jasmine Bhasin, among others.Bobby Deol was papped outside Sanjay Khan’s Mumbai residence. He was seen emotional after paying his last respects to Zarine Khan. The video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.
