Yami Gautam Reveals She Was Asked To Change Her Eyebrow: ‘They Wanted It To Look Like…’

Yami Gautam recently recalled the time when a senior make-up artist asked her to change one of her eyebrows. She stated that the suggestion was given to make the eyebrow shape in a way so that the curve can be removed, as that would make her look edgier and cooler. Yami also shared that her heart sank after she heard the advice. The actress then told the makeup artist to move on and get ready. The star also revealed the reason why she never opts for aesthetic surgeries.

In an interview with News18, Yami Gautam said, “I was told to change one of my eyebrows – that it needs to be shaped in a way so that the curve can be removed as that would make me look edgier and cooler. They perhaps wanted my eyebrow to look like two snails approaching each other from either side (laughs)! He was a very senior make-up artist. My heart really sank and I just told him that we should move on and get ready.”

While talking about why she decided to never opt for aesthetic surgeries, Yami Gautam added, “It’s about perspective also. But that’s not the idea of beauty for me. For someone else, it could be an editorial call. When you see somebody that looks that way on a magazine cover, it may look really cool. But I’m an actor. When you see me onscreen, you shouldn’t have to focus on why my face, cheeks or lips is looking unnatural. That can’t become a distraction.”
