After much controversy about Paresh Rawal’s exit, the iconic trio of the Hera Pheri franchise, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty, are reuniting for the third instalment. All the fans are quite excited to watch the three again, that too in the cult movie. Priyadarshan’s directorial has cleared all the challenges and is set to go on floors soon. After Rawal’s official return to Hera Pheri 3, the actor talked about the film’s tone and stated that it is a family film. Here is what he said.

In an interview shared by Sai Safar, Suniel Shetty said, “Ye family ki film hai. Shayad wo ek film jahaan aap sab milke ek saath dekh sakte ho. Agar ek baar aap TV chaalu kar dete ho to uske baad aapko tension lene ki zarurat nahi hai, sharmaane ki zarurat nahi hai. Aapko pata hai ki log sirf hasne hi hasne waale hain. Chhup ke TV ya mobile phone dekhne ki zarurat nahi hai. Parivaar se chhupa ke nahi. (This is a family film. Perhaps the kind you can all watch together. Once you switch on the TV, there’s no need to worry or feel awkward. You know people are only going to laugh. There’s no need to watch it in secret on TV or mobile. Not something to hide from the family).”

Suniel added, “Waisi hi filmein hum banate hain. Hum waisi filmein karte aaye hain jo hum chaahe ki parivar dekhe. Aur ye Hera Pheri bhi waise hi hogi. (These are the kinds of films we make. We’ve always made the kind of films we want families to watch. And this Hera Pheri will be just like that).”

Paresh Rawal’s exited the film in May this year due to some unknown differences. The issues are now sorted, Rawal is all set to play Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in Hera Pheri 3. Earlier, it was reported that the film is set to release in 2026. But as per the latest reports, the production is set to wrap up in mid-2026 and is most likely to arrive in 2027.
