Homebound OTT Release: Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound is a film that struck a chord with the audience upon its release in theatres. Thanks to its compelling narrative and powerful cast performances, it has been officially chosen as India’s entry for the 98th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film stars Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles. When And Where To Watch Homebound Online?

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Homebound will stream on Netflix starting November 21. The OTT announcement was made by the streamer on Instagram along with the caption that read, "A long road home. A friend that feels like home. Two childhood friends take their shot at living a life of dignity, but there’s a long battle to be won. India’s Official Selection for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Oscars, Homebound, is out 21 November on Netflix."

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film blends Indian storytelling with global creative vision. Homebound follows childhood friends Shoaib (Ishaan Khatter) and Chandan (Vishal Jethwa), whose shared dream of joining the police force shapes their lives. The film explores their struggles, ambitions, and the challenges they face along the way. Janhvi Kapoor adds emotional depth to a story grounded in friendship, duty, and the pressures facing young India.

Homebound is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and co-produced by Marijke deSouza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier, along with Martin Scorsese and Pravin Khairnar acting as the Executive Producers.

Homebound has been critically acclaimed worldwide. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2025, where it received a standing ovation from the attendees. This was followed by a premiere at TIFF, where it secured the Second Runner-Up spot for the International Audience Choice Award. Now, the film is all set for the 2026 Oscars.
