House Mates OTT Release: Tamil cinema is ready to bring audiences a fresh mix of horror, comedy, and fantasy with House Mates, a film that has already won praise during its theatrical run. Directed by T. Raja Vel and produced by Sivakarthikeyan and S. Vijayaprakash under SK Productions, the film features Darshan and Aarsha Chandini Baiju in lead roles, alongside Kaali Venkat, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Dheena, Abdool Lee, and child actor Master Henrik. Backed by a lively soundtrack from Rajesh Murugesan, best known for Premam and Neram, House Mates is now set to premiere digitally after its theatrical release on 1st August.

Tamil movie House Mates story centres on newlyweds Karthik (Darshan) and Anu (Aarsha Chandini Baiju), who move into a new apartment, hoping to start a peaceful life together. However, their happiness is soon disturbed by strange events within the flat. What begins as a normal domestic routine turns into a suspenseful puzzle when they realise that these occurrences are somehow connected to another family from a completely different time period. The film cleverly combines humour with supernatural elements, delivering a unique blend of fantasy, scares, and emotional drama. The Tamil movie will be available to watch on Zee 5 on 19th September 2025.

Meanwhile, actor Sivakarthikeyan, who produced the film, expressed his personal connection to the project. He shared that House Mates had the perfect mix of mystery, freshness, and comedy to appeal to modern audiences. He praised the team’s efforts in bringing the story to life with energy and dedication, and said he was excited to see it reach a wider audience through its digital release. Furthermore, lead actor Darshan also spoke about his experience, calling House Mates one of his most challenging yet enjoyable projects. He explained that playing Karthik allowed him to explore fear and comedy in equal measure, which made the role particularly rewarding. Aarsha Chandini Baiju, his co-star, impressed viewers with her balance of charm and intensity, adding depth to the film’s emotional undertones.
