Kannappa OTT Release: Vishnu Manchu and Akshay Kumar starrer mythological drama movie is a long-awaited movie on OTT that has finally made its way on a digital site. The film initially hit the screens on June 27 with a huge craze online for its strong storyline and stellar cast. Despite the hype and appreciation, the film failed miserably at the box office. However, Vishnu Manchu, being true to his words of not releasing the film on OTT in less than ten-week ticket window, remained the same. Now, after two months of waiting, viewers can watch the film from their homes.

Where To Watch Kannappa On OTT?

Kannappa has been released on the popular OTT platform Prime Video on September 5 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. However, there is no update on the Hindi version streaming. While sharing the silent digital debut news, Prime Video wrote, “Glory, Guts and Grandeur all in one epic #KannappaOnPrime, Watch Now.”

What Is The Storyline Of Kannappa?

The Telugu Hindu epic devotional film revolves around the life of Thinnadu, who is a fierce tribal warrior. The movie focuses on his journey from being an adamant atheist to becoming the biggest devotee of Lord Shiva. To show his devotion to the deity, he sacrificed his one eye to a bleeding Shiva lingam when the other eye was bleeding too, he was about to pluck his other eye. Then Shiva appeared and gave his blessings to Kannappa.

Who Are There In Kannappa?

The movie features Vishnu Manchu as Thinnadu aka Kannappa aka Arjuna, Preity Mukhundhan as Nemali, Mohan Babu as Mahadeva Sastri, R. Sarathkumar as Nathanathudu, Madhoo as Pannaga, Mukesh Rishi as Kampadu, Brahmaji as Gavvaraju, Brahmanandam as Pilaka, Raghu Babu as Mallayya and Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran as Maremma. The film had cameo appearances of actors-Mohanlal as Kirata, Prabhas as Rudra, Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati.

Kannappa has been directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. The story and the screenplay of the movie have been done by Vishnu Manchu.

Kannappa Budget And Box Office Report

According to several reports, the film has been made on an approximate budget of Rs 200 crore. Kannappa had a box office collection of Rs 31.93 crore and Rs 41.75 crore worldwide, as reported by Sacnilk.
