Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra OTT Release: Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen K. Gafoor starrer Malayalam superhero movie received positive feedback from the audience since its release on August 28. The film has been performing exceptionally well at the ticket windows. Dominic Arun’s directorial has captured the attention for all the good reasons, including storyline, performance, concept and especially because as it is a female superhero movie. Amid its theatrical run, there is an update on the OTT release of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra.

As per reports, Netflix has bought the streaming rights of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra. However, there is no official confirmation about the platform yet. A report by One India claimed that the movie is likely to premiere on OTT in the last week of September and 26 is the most speculated date. The OTT version is expected to stream in multiple languages-Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, to reach larger audiences.

What Is The Plot Of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra?

The movie is about a young woman who discovers supernatural powers while personal challenges. When evil emerges, she has to accept her powers and destiny in a transforming world. Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra features Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen K. Gafoor, Tovino Thomas, Mammootty and Sandy Master in key roles. It has been directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan. Nimish Ravi has done the cinematography of the film.

According to reports, the film has been made on a budget of around Rs 30 crore.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 7.35 crore on Day 7. The net collection of Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra now stands at Rs 38.95 crore.

Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra Controversy

The movie received backlash for a dialogue delivered by an antagonist in the film, which has been called out for shaming women from Bengaluru in South India. Reacting to the controversy, Wayfarer film issued a statement which reads, “At Wayfarer Films, we place people above everything else. We deeply regret this oversight and assure you that no offence was intended. We sincerely apologise for the hurt caused and humbly request you to accept our apology.”
