Sundarakanda OTT Release Update: Naara Rohith and Sridevi Vijaykumar starrer Telugu romantic comedy drama movie released in theatres on August 27. The film has received positive responses from the audience but is unable to perform at the box office. Since its opening day, Sundarakanda has been earning in lakhs and till now it has collected Rs 1 crore. Amid its struggles at the box office, there is an update about the OTT release of the Telugu movie.

According to several reports, JioHotstar has bagged the streaming rights of Sundarakanda with a hefty amount. Some reports also suggest that the film might be released in the last week of September. It also claims that the satellite rights have been acquired by Star Maa.

What Is Sundarakanda All About?

The plot revolves around a man who struggles with constant setbacks and romantic failures. His perfectionist approach to complicated love matters until an encounter happens which turns out to be his ideal match. The Telugu movie features Naara Rohith, Sridevi Vijaykumar, Virti Vaghani, Naresh Vijay Krishna, Sathya and VTV Ganesh in key roles. It has been written and directed by Venkatesh Nimmalapudi. Sundarakanda has been produced by Santhosh Chinnapolla, Gautam Reddy, Rakesh Mahankalli and Leon James. Pradeesh Varma has done the cinematography of the film.

Earlier, Sridevi Vijaykumar shared that she was shocked by the story narration of Sundarakanda. She said, “I was shocked when the director Venkatesh Nimmalapudi told me this story. It’s a very new script, so I asked the director for some time, but he didn’t give me much time. As an audience member, I liked this movie a moment. It’s very fresh in its content,” as quoted by Cinema Express.

She added, “This is Venkatesh's first film, but he made it with the experience of a veteran. Venkatesh has great clarity on what he wants, and is extremely confident in his working. My character has many different emotions here. I haven’t done a character like this before. I took a lot of photos and saved them. It was a memorable experience.”
