War 2 OTT Release Update

Hrithik and NTR starrer War 2 will be streaming on Netflix, highlighted by the official OTT partner in the film’s theatrical version. While the exact release date hasn’t been announced by the makers yet, several reports suggest that the film may stream on the platform between September 25 and October 9, which is a typical theatrical-to-digital window of six to eight weeks.

Was A War 2 a Hit Or Flop At Box Office?

Besides Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's intense and intriguing face-off, Kiara Advani's on-screen persona left fans in a frenzy. War 2 follows Kabir, a former top RAW agent, who becomes a major threat to national security after going rogue. However, the sixth instalment of the YRF spy universe didn't turn out to be a box office success as expected. The film was made on approximately Rs 400 crore, but it didn't reach the mark and stands at Rs 236.54 crore in India, while earning Rs 364.34 crore worldwide, according to the Sacnilk report. War 2 faced strong competition from Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Coolie starring Rajinikanth.

Under Yash Raj Films, the Aditya Chopra-backed movie is helmed by Ayan Mukerji. War 2 was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in theatres. In addition to the main cast, the movie also starred Ashutosh Rana, Anil Kapoor and many others.
