Sriimurali is all set to hit the big screens with his much-anticipated action film Bagheera on October 31, 2024. Directed by Dr Suri and produced by Hombale Films, this action-packed thriller promises to bring justice to the forefront, featuring Sriimurali in a powerful cop-turned-vigilante role. The film is based on a story by Prashanth Neel, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Ugramm, KGF and Salaar.t

In a period where all eyes are on upcoming blockbusters like Max and UI, Sriimurali’s Bagheera quietly emerged as a contender, with its release date taking many by surprise. Earlier, October 31 was speculated to be the release date for either Real Star Upendra’s UI or Kiccha Sudeep’s Max.

However, with Bagheera now confirmed for that date, it seems UI and Max will have to consider alternative dates, especially given the tight schedule of Kannada releases, with Dhruva Sarja’s Martin locked in for October 11 and Shivarajkumar’s Bhairathi Ranagal slated for November 15.

Bagheera has generated significant buzz, particularly due to Sriimurali's rugged cop avatar. The film’s teaser hints at a gritty, action-filled storyline where the protagonist takes justice into his own hands. The movie faced several production delays due to injuries sustained by Sriimurali during the shoot, further adding to the anticipation among fans. Sriimurali’s collaboration with Prashanth Neel, who previously revitalized his career with Ugramm, adds another layer of excitement to the film.

Although the Ugramm sequel has yet to materialize, Neel’s story has been entrusted to Dr. Suri, known for his work on Lucky with Yash. With this combination, Bagheera is expected to deliver the intense action sequences that fans of Sriimurali and Neel have come to expect.

Alongside Sriimurali, the film stars Rukmini Vasanth, who is fresh off the success of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. Her pairing with Sriimurali has already caught attention, and fans are eager to see their chemistry on screen. Interestingly, Rukmini will also feature in Bhairathi Ranagal, making Bagheera one of her back-to-back big releases this season.
