Indian stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das has been confirmed as the host for the 2024 International Emmy Awards, set to take place on November 25 in New York City. The prestigious event, organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, will celebrate the best in international television.
Das, known for his quick wit and global appeal, was previously nominated for his Netflix special Vir Das: For India in 2021 and later won the comedy category in 2023 for his special Landing. The actor and comedian is currently on his worldwide Mind Fool tour.
In addition to stand-up, Das has an extensive resume in acting and production. He’s created, produced and starred in series such as Netflix’s thriller Hasmukh, ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier and the travel show Jestination Unknown for Amazon. On the film side, he appeared in Judd Apatow's The Bubble and continues to explore new projects, including a single-camera comedy with CBS Studios and Andy Samberg. Vir Das also leads the comedy-rock band Alien Chutney, showing his versatility beyond comedy.

Expressing his excitement about the upcoming event, Das said, “I am so happy to be hosting the International Emmys.
