Vir Das Makes History With Third International Emmy Nod
Vir Das earned his third International Emmy nomination in the Comedy category for his Netflix stand-up special Vir Das: Fool Volume. Das previously received a nomination in 2021 for For India and won the International Emmy for Comedy in 2023 for Landing.
Filmed across Mumbai, London, and New York, Fool Volume was created after Das temporarily lost his voice shortly before production.

This special came from a period when I literally lost my voice, so to see something that began in silence travel this far is pretty surreal. For India was the first time I understood that our comedy could find a home on a global stage, Landing gave me an Emmy, and now Fool Volume has brought me back into that conversation."
Vir Das further added, I’m incredibly grateful to Netflix, my team and everyone who helped make this very strange, very personal show. Three nominations is something I never imagined when we made the first one, so I’m just going to enjoy the fact that the fool keeps getting louder."
Real Kashmir Football Club Nominated For Best Drama Series
In the Drama Series category, Sony LIV’s original series Real Kashmir Football Club scored a major nomination. Directed by Mahesh Mathai and Rajesh Mapuskar, and starring Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub alongside Manav Kaul, the series tells the true story of two dreamers building a professional football team with local underdogs across the Kashmir Valley.
The Indian series faces stiff international competition from Disney+’s A Thousand Blows (UK), Apple TV’s Carême (France), and Amazon MGM Studios’ Menem (Argentina).
