New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Priyanka Chopra is all set to feature in new children based superhero film 'We Can Be Heroes' on Netflix, where she will share the screen alongside popular Hollywood faces such as Pedro Pascal, Christian Slater and Boyd Holbrook.

The film, described as an action-adventure, follows a group of children who team up to save the planet and their superhero parents who are kidnapped by the aliens.

Robert Rodriguez, who most recently helmed "Alita: Battle Angel", will direct and produce the movie from his own script, the streamer said.

The 51-year-old has a history of making kid-centric films. He has helmed four chapters of spy kids from 2001 to 2011 including The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 2005.

Priyanka is expected to play the role of Ms. Gradenko in the film. She is yet to confirm the developments.

Child stars Akira Akbar, Nathan Blair, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken and Hala Finley will feature in the project. Other characters include YaYa Gosselin, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, and Christopher McDonald.

The project recently started production in Texas, US.

Earlier, Priyanka has played the lead role of ABC thriller drama Quantico for three seasons and Baywatch.

On the work front, the actress was last seen in the film Isn't It Romantic. She will next feature in 'The Sky is Pink' which is set to release on October 11. Other characters in the movie include Farhaan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
