Rajinikanth is brimming with excitement after watching the sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The veteran actor took to social media to share his thoughts, expressing his anticipation for the sequel. "Watched Kalki. WOW! What an epic movie! Director Nag Ashwin has taken Indian cinema to a different level. Hearty congratulations to my dear friends Aswini Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and the entire team of Kalki 2898 AD. Eagerly await Part 2. God bless," Rajinikanth tweeted on Saturday.

The film, which features a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, has made a significant impact on the global box office. On its first day, 'Kalki 2898 AD' grossed an impressive ₹191.5 crore worldwide, as announced by the makers on Friday. The film also stars Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana, further adding to its appeal.

Nag Ashwin, the director of this Hindi-Telugu bilingual film, was left speechless by Rajinikanth's high praise. He responded on social media, saying, "Sir... speechless... blessed... from our whole team," accompanied by folded hands emojis.

The praise did not stop with Rajinikanth. Veteran actor Nagarjuna also lauded the film on social media, saying, “Congratulations to the team of super duper Kalki 2898 AD!! Naagi you took us to another time and another place, entwining fiction with mythology and history so effortlessly!! Kalki 2898 AD, previously known as Project K, is set in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD. With a reported budget of ₹600 crore, it stands as one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema.
