Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Renowned director Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, is in pre-production mode, stirring excitement among fans. Kapoor's preparation for the iconic role involves rigorous vocal training to ensure a distinct portrayal.
Tiwari, known for his meticulous approach, aims for Kapoor to bring a unique vocal texture to Lord Ram's character, setting him apart from his previous roles. As per a report by India Today, to achieve authenticity, Tiwari has assembled a dedicated team for dialect and dialogue refinement. Kapoor is under the guidance of a diction expert, ensuring his delivery aligns perfectly with the director's vision. Costuming receives special attention, enhancing the film's visual authenticity.
Commenting on Kapoor's preparation, a source in the India Today report revealed, "Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines... In Ramayana, Nitesh wants to make sure he sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past." Sai Pallavi was earlier reported to be cast for the role of Sita in the film. However, more recent reports suggest Janhvi Kapoor to be the leading lady in the movie. Official confirmation is awaited in this regard.

Ramayana marks the latest addition to the recent surge in cinematic adaptations of the revered Indian epic. Amidst anticipation, speculation surrounds Sunny Deol's potential portrayal of Hanuman and Bobby Deol's rumoured role as Kumbakaran. The film's release is anticipated in 2025. With Kapoor's commitment to his craft and Tiwari's directorial prowess, Ramayana promises to captivate audiences with its fresh interpretation of the timeless epic. Nitesh Tiwari's recent directorial 'Bawaal' starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor was released in 2023.
