Ranbir Kapoor will be essaying the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan.’ Although, the makers are yet to make an official statement, however several reports claim that Sai Pallavi has been roped in to essay the role of Sita, where ‘KGF’ fame Yash to play the role of Ravan in the film. Now, many reports online claim that to play the character of Lord Ram, Ranbir Kapoor is set to quit meat and alcohol to be as pure as Ram. The actor will also tutor himself into a self-restrained lifestyle.

According to a report in News18, the actor has undertaken the decision to avoid the consumption of alcohol, smoking and meat. The report stated, “While the film will be shot, Ranbir will abstain completely from drinking and eating meat. These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. In any case, Ranbir is not into late nights and wild parties.”

Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that the actor will start the shoot of the film early next year. The report stated, “Ranbir and Sai will start shooting for the film around the month of February 2024. The first part of the trilogy will focus more on Lord Ram and Sita, leading towards the conflict of Sita Haran. The duo will be shooting for the film from February till August 2024, before calling it a wrap for Ramayana: Part One.”

The VFX of the film will be plated by the Oscar Winning Company, DNEG, as the makers are preparing with the best to avoid the consequences faced by Prabhas led ‘Adipurush.’

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in the film ‘Animal.’ The film is helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in lead roles. The film is set to hit screens on December 1.
