Popular YouTuber and podcast host Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, recently shared a harrowing experience from his trip to Goa. In an Instagram post, he revealed that he and his girlfriend were swept away by an underwater current while swimming in the sea. The incident, which occurred on December 24, required the intervention of a family, including an IPS officer and his IRS wife, who heroically saved the duo from a dangerous situation.
Ranveer, who has been swimming in the open ocean since childhood, described the event as one of the most terrifying moments of his life. What started as a fun dip in the waves with his girlfriend quickly turned into a life-threatening ordeal when a powerful underwater current pulled them both away from the shore.
"A casual, fun dip in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current that toppled both of us. The next thing we knew was that we were both struggling to stay afloat," Ranveer shared in his post.

The YouTuber recounted how he struggled in the water for five to ten minutes, swallowing a significant amount of water and beginning to lose consciousness. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he mustered the strength to call for help.
"There was a point during the ordeal where I swallowed a lot of water and started fading away a little bit. That's when I decided to shout for help," he wrote. Fortunately, a family swimming nearby heard his cries and rushed to their rescue. Among them were an IPS officer and his IRS wife, who played a crucial role in saving Ranveer and his girlfriend. Ranveer expressed his deep gratitude to the family for their timely intervention, emphasizing how their actions likely saved their lives.
“This experience left us feeling both blank as well as grateful. We felt the protection of God throughout the incident,” he wrote, adding that they are now safe and recovering from the ordeal. While Ranveer has consistently kept his girlfriend's identity private, he shared photos from the incident that do not reveal her face.
