The highly anticipated teaser of Salman Khan's upcoming action film Sikandar was originally set to release on December 27, coinciding with the actor's 59th birthday. However, in light of the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the makers decided to postpone the launch as a mark of respect.
Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the production house behind Sikandar, shared the update on their official social media handle. The statement read:
“In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding.”
The teaser will now be launched on Saturday, December 28, at 11:07 AM.

Ahead of the teaser, the makers revealed Salman Khan’s look from the film, much to the delight of fans. The poster features the actor in a sharp suit, holding a spear, exuding a rugged yet enigmatic aura. His full face remains partially obscured, adding to the intrigue surrounding the film. Salman shared the poster on Instagram, further fueling excitement for the teaser.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar stars Salman Khan alongside Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release during Eid 2025. Salman Khan, who is currently hosting Bigg Boss 14, will also be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2.
Manmohan Singh, India’s former Prime Minister, passed away at the age of 92 due to age-related health issues. He served two terms as Prime Minister, from 2004 to 2014, and was instrumental in shaping India’s New Economic Policy in 1991. A renowned economist, Singh's legacy as a leader and policymaker remains unparalleled.
