Salman Khan is prioritising his safety amid renewed death threats following the murder of his close friend, political leader Baba Siddique. The actor has been targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for some time, and after Siddique's assassination by three attackers on October 12, 2024, he has heightened his security measures. Recently, the Tiger 3 actor received a fresh death threat from an alleged member of the Bishnoi gang, who demanded ₹5 crore to resolve a dispute. Despite this, Salman has returned to work on the set of Bigg Boss 18, implementing enhanced security protocols.

Reports indicate that he is sparing no expense to ensure his safety. As per a report from Bollywood Society, Salman Khan has purchased a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV, which is not available in the Indian market. The actor is reportedly importing the vehicle from Dubai, with an estimated cost of around ₹2 crore. Additionally, a considerable amount is reportedly to be spent to expedite the car's arrival in India.

Based on online specifications, the SUV features numerous advanced safety enhancements, including explosive alert indicators, reinforced glass shields designed to withstand point-blank gunfire and camouflage black tints to ensure the driver and passengers remain unidentifiable.

Amid this, Salman Khan arrived at Bigg Boss 18 sets on Thursday night (October 17) with enhanced security measures in place, according to India Today. A source indicated that the 58-year-old actor remained in his designated chalet on the compound for added safety. This marked his first day back at work since the murder of Baba Siddique. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for Siddique's assassination, while the police continue their investigation.

On the same day, the Mumbai Police received a threat via WhatsApp, demanding that Salman pay ₹5 crore. The message warned that if he wished to end his conflict with Lawrence Bishnoi and ensure his safety, he must pay the sum. It ominously added that if the money was not provided, Salman’s fate could be worse than that of Baba Siddique, as reported by ANI.
