Salman Khan's work is reportedly suffering due to ongoing security concerns and death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Over the weekend, he appeared visibly affected by the threats and the death of Baba Siddique during his appearance on Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar. Following this, it was reported that Rohit Shetty has decided not to move forward with filming Salman’s cameo as Chulbul Pandey in Singham Again due to his distressing situation. Also, it seems that the shooting schedule for Sikandar has also been halted.
Salman is scaling back his work commitments to stay low-key amidst the rising threats. The current security measures are deemed insufficient, and it appears he will not be filming for the foreseeable future. According to Times Now, "It is no longer enough to provide him stern security. For some time now, Salman would have to lie really now. He won’t be shooting for anything for quite a while, indefinitely I’d say,” the actor’s close friend said.
"Abhi kuch nahin kaha jaa sakta hai. Sikandar requires a whole lot of choreographed action. Director Murugadoss needed Salman’s full attention. But right now that seems impossible. The way ahead is still very unclear. Right now, the most important thing is Salman and his family’s safety. That won’t be compromised under any circumstance," he added.
For the unversed, Salman has been facing death threats from members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, with the latest threat surfacing shortly after the murder of Mumbai-based political leader Baba Siddique, who had a close relationship with Salman. He was shot outside his son’s office and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. As a result, Salman’s security measures have been significantly intensified.

Police reports indicate that the five recently arrested suspects had been in contact with conspirator Shubham Lonkar and mastermind Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, both of whom are still at large. Authorities have previously identified Akhtar as having ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and believe he plays a significant role in orchestrating Siddique's murder.
In a related incident, the Mumbai Police received a threatening WhatsApp message demanding ₹5 crore from Salman Khan to settle his ongoing conflict with Lawrence Bishnoi. The message ominously warned that not paying could result in a fate worse than that of Baba Siddique, according to ANI.
