Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nani, who once shared the screen in the 2012 blockbusters Eega and Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu, delighted fans with a surprise reunion at Hyderabad airport on Thursday. Both actors were on their way to Mumbai for different commitments when they unexpectedly crossed paths.

Samantha, who couldn't resist capturing the moment, shared a cheerful selfie with Nani on her Instagram Stories. The two actors were all smiles as they posed for the photo, taken inside their flight. Samantha captioned the picture, “@nameisnani the sweetest surprise today,” adding a white heart emoji and a shoutout to Nani’s upcoming film, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, with a strong arm emoji for good measure.

The sweet interaction didn’t end there. Nani and Samantha were also spotted deep in conversation while boarding the airport shuttle for their flight. A video of their candid chat was shared by trade analyst Ramesh Bala on X (formerly Twitter), sparking a wave of nostalgia among fans. One commenter aptly noted, “Eega reunion,” while others expressed their joy with heart emojis.

Nani’s trip to Mumbai is for the promotion of his upcoming movie Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film is set to hit theatres on August 29 and features Priyanka Mohan and SJ Suryah in lead roles. The story revolves around a man struggling with anger management issues who vows to channel his rage towards justice only on Saturdays, in honour of a promise he made to his mother.

On the other hand, Samantha is in Mumbai for the World Pickleball League. Recently, she announced her ownership of the Chennai franchise, marking another milestone in her career. In an Instagram post, Samantha wrote, “Picking up a pickleball team wasn’t just a decision; it was a conviction. A nod to the younger me and a commitment to every little girl who’s been told she can’t. We’re here to prove that we absolutely can.”
