Pradeep Rawat is one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry. The actor, who also predominately worked in Tamil, and Telugu film industries alongside Bollywood, has recently spilled beans about his Koyla costar Shah Rukh Khan. The actor recalled the memories from the set of the movie and stated that SRK used to be a chain smoker. He also mentioned that Hrithik Roshan was an assistant director in the film. The Koyla star further shared some light-hearted moments from the set.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Pradeep said “I wasn’t close to Shah Rukh during the shooting, but he was always well-mannered and a wonderful person. One thing I remember vividly is that I haven’t seen any other actor smoke as much as he did. He would light a cigarette, use it to light another, and then light yet another one. He was a true chain smoker. Nonetheless, his dedication to the film was undeniable.”
The actor also talked about Hrithik Roshan, he said “Hrithik Roshan was an assistant director in Koyla. I remember Hrithik would come in the evening to give the script to Johnny Lever. Rakesh ji is a very large-hearted person and if any evening passed without a party, then it wasn’t a film shot by Rakesh Roshan. He used to call everyone and there would be food and everything. Then they would go to a disco. He would knock on everyone’s door and call everybody.”
Pradeep Rawat appeared in many big movies including Ghajini, DD Returns, Desamuduru, Lagaan, Sarfarosh, and Gulu Gulu to name a few. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s King. The movie will feature Suhana Khan in pivotal role. Apart from King, he will also start shooting for Tiger vs Pathaan alongside Salman Khan. Tiger vs Pathaan is slated to be released in theatres in 2027.
