Shefali Shah is currently basking in the success of getting nominated at the International Emmy Awards for her portrayal of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi IPS in the series ‘Delhi Crime.’ The actress recently confirmed the coming of ‘Delhi Crime 3’, where she will be reviving her role. Shefali Shah also mentioned that the shoot of the third season is yet to begin, with the release of the same to take place around the end of next year.
The actress recently spoke with India Today, and said, “Going into Season 3 I'm nervous, I'm anxious. I did Season 1 and didn't expect Vartika to become this hero that people are looking up to, and then came Season 2. I was terrified because, I was like, how am I gonna fill the shoes? It's a much bigger responsibility and pressure. But, touchwood I could pull it off and now, Season 3, the pressure is gonna be even more because of the nomination."

She added, “It's not just the pressure because of others, but also because I don't know whether I will be able to do it, because I question myself all the time, and when you are carrying forward the role, a lot of people think it's easy but it's not. Because yes, you have to keep the sur of the character alive, but at the same time, she can't be predictable and boring. People have taken Varitka's character personally so it's a big challenge to live up to all this."
Shah continued, “We haven't started shooting for the show yet, it's currently in the scripting stage. We will shoot next year, and I assume that it will be released by next year's end, again not very sure of the release. It all depends on when we start shooting and wrap up."
