Tiku Talsania, celebrated for his comedic brilliance in iconic Bollywood films, was recently hospitalized after suffering a brain stroke. His daughter, actor Shikha Talsania, shared an update on his health, expressing gratitude to fans and the medical team for their support during this challenging time.
On Sunday, Shikha took to Instagram Stories to share an official statement about her father’s condition. She wrote, “Thank you for all your prayers and concern. It’s been an emotional time for all of us, but we are happy to share that dad is doing much better now and is recuperating well.”
She also thanked the medical team at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where Tiku was admitted, saying, “We are grateful to the doctors and staff at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital for everything they have done and to his fans for all the love that has come our way in abundance.”

Tiku Talsania was admitted to the hospital on Friday after feeling unwell during a film screening. His wife, Deepti Talsania, clarified in an interview that he had suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. “He had gone to attend a film screening and started feeling unwell around 8 pm. He was immediately admitted to the hospital,” Deepti explained.
Tiku Talsania has been a beloved figure in Bollywood for decades, known for his roles in films such as Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin (1991), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1993), and Ishq (1997). He has also delivered memorable performances in movies like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Andaz Apna Apna (1994) and Coolie No. 1 (1995).
In addition to his comedic roles, Tiku showcased his versatility with a serious performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas (2002). More recently, he appeared in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, alongside Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, which was released last year.
As news of his hospitalization spread, fans flooded social media with messages of love and prayers for his speedy recovery. Shikha’s update has provided much-needed relief to his admirers, who continue to wish him good health.
