Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary today. On the special day, Sonam dropped a series of pictures and videos on her Instagram handle and wished her hubby a ‘Happy Marriage Anniversary’. The pictures also feature adorable glimpses of their son Vayu.

“To the love of my life. My everything , Happy Anniversary. Your unconditional love and support is my anchor and safe place. Getting married to you was the best decision of my life. We live in heaven. I love you more than I can express. #everydayphenomenal,” she wrote on her Instagram handle.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got married in an intimate ceremony on May 8, 2018. The couple chose to honor their vows through a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony, known as Anand Karaj. This sacred ritual involves taking four laava pheras, or rounds, around the Guru Granth Sahib, which is the central religious scripture of Sikhism.
During the ceremony, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her brothers, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. They accompanied her under a vibrant red chaaddar, a traditional canopy. Additionally, as per the customs involved in the Anand Karaj, the groom, Anand Ahuja, was seen holding a sword in the photographs, which is a significant part of the wedding rituals.

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's Anand Karaj ceremony was a private yet star-studded affair. Alongside her father Anil Kapoor and sister Rhea Kapoor, other notable attendees included her cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh. The event also drew major Bollywood celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, and Aamir Khan, all joining in the celebrations with the Kapoor family.
