Stray Kids has achieved a historic milestone with their latest mini-album, ATE, securing the number one spot on the US Billboard 200 chart. Released on July 19, 2024, ATE marks the group's fifth consecutive album to debut at number one on this prestigious chart. This record-breaking feat makes Stray Kids the first group in Billboard history to achieve such a streak. ATE features four tracks: Mountains, JJam, I Like It and Chk Chk Boom. The latter track has also been included in the official soundtrack for Marvel's movie, Deadpool and Wolverine. The album's first-week sales were impressive, with 232,000 album units sold in the US, 218,000 of which were pure album sales, making it the highest-selling album of 2024 globally so far.
The group’s previous albums, ODDINARY (March 2022), MAXIDENT (October 2022), 5-STAR (June 2023) and STAR (November 2023), also debuted at number one, contributing to their historic achievement. Stray Kids' remarkable success on the Billboard 200 chart places them second only to rapper DMX, who also debuted five consecutive albums at number one.
JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids' representative company, announced that ATE is not only the highest-selling Kpop album of 2024 but also the sixth highest-selling album overall for the year. The album's commercial success extends beyond the US, with its title track Chk Chk Boom debuting at number 30 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.
In addition to their Billboard success, Stray Kids are set to headline Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2, 2024, closing the summer festival in grand fashion. This performance will be followed by their largest tour to date, the Stray Kids World Tour – DOMINATE, which kicks off with four concerts in Seoul on August 24-25, 2024 and August 31-September 1, 2024.
For the first time in history, two K-Pop albums simultaneously hold the top 2 spots on the Billboard 200 in the US:

Stray Kids' achievement dethroned BTS member Jimin, whose latest solo album MUSE debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. MUSE, released on July 19, 2024, sold 74,000 album units, including 15,000 SEA (streaming equivalent albums) units and 7,000 TEA (track equivalent albums) units. The title track Who dominated Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart for five consecutive days and debuted at number four on the UK Official Singles Chart.
Jimin’s MUSE offers a deep dive into his personal journey of self-discovery. The album features seven tracks, six of which Jimin co-wrote and co-composed. The title track "Who" is a hip-hop R&B number that poignantly explores the emotions of longing and confusion over a person never met. This achievement marks Jimin’s second solo album to hit No.2 on the Billboard 200, following his debut album, FACE, which also secured the same position last year.
In addition to his musical achievements, Jimin and fellow BTS member Jungkook are set to star in the Disney+ original series Are You Sure?! The show, premiering on August 8, 2024, will follow the duo on an exciting adventure before their military enlistment.
