Abhishek Banerjee, known for his recent hits Stree 2 and Vedaa, recently opened up about a challenging moment in his career. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Banerjee shared an intriguing story about being dismissed from a casting project for Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

According to Banerjee, he and his team were working on the casting for the 2012 film Agneepath, which was produced by Dharma Productions. However, their casting choices did not sit well with Johar. Banerjee revealed that their approach involved bringing in actors similar to those who worked with Anurag Kashyap, which was not in line with Johar's vision. As a result, Johar reportedly decided to part ways with Banerjee’s team, leading to their removal from the project.

Reflecting on the experience, Banerjee admitted that he felt it might be the end of his career. "We thought our career was over because we were thrown out of Dharma Productions," he said. Despite the setback, Banerjee expressed relief that he managed to overcome the situation and continue his journey in the industry.
