In a recent interview on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast, Chapter 2, Sushmita Sen addressed ongoing rumours and speculations surrounding her love life, particularly those involving her former boyfriend, Rohman Shawl. The actor took the opportunity to set the record straight, confirming that she has been single for nearly two years.

“I have no man in my life,” Sen declared. “I’ve been single for a while, precisely since 2021. It’s been almost two years. I am not interested in anyone at the moment. After being in a relationship for almost five years, it feels good to take a break and focus on myself.”

Despite frequent sightings of Sushmita and Rohman together at various public events since their December 2021 breakup, the actress made it clear that they are simply friends. She had previously stated on social media, “We began as friends, we remain friends! The relationship was long over, but the love remains!”

Sen also opened up about how she deals with the end of relationships. She emphasized that she invests deeply in her partnerships, sharing her home and life with her partner. When she senses that a relationship is becoming toxic, she chooses to walk away, prioritizing her well-being and that of her daughters, Renee and Alisah. “I invest a lot in a relationship, including love, care, and energy. If a relationship becomes toxic, I walk away without regret. My world is built around trust, and I cannot tolerate betrayal,” she said.
