Kiran Abbavaram is set to make a grand comeback after a year-long hiatus from the film industry. The actor, known for his roles in Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, SR Kalyana Mandapam and Sammathame, will star in an upcoming period action thriller titled KA. The teaser of KA, released on Kiran's birthday, has already generated significant buzz among fans and film enthusiasts.
The teaser begins with a shot of a mysterious device adorned with zodiac symbols. As Kiran's enigmatic character examines it closely, a voice questions his true identity. The narrator speculates about Kiran's past, noting that no one knows where he comes from and that he is the kind of person who reads the letters he delivers as a postman. This character's solitary nature and capacity for violence add to the intrigue. The teaser's only dialogue, delivered by Kiran, is, "Naku Telisina Nenu Manchi..Naku Teliyani Nenu" (I know I am good, but there’s another side to me). This line hints at the dual nature of his character, further piquing the audience's curiosity.
Fans have reacted positively to the teaser. One fan compared Kiran to the famous actor Upendra, calling him the "Nimma Upendra of Tollywood." Another fan praised the teaser, wishing Kiran a happy birthday and expressing excitement for the film. While some fans felt the voiceover could be improved, the overall reception has been enthusiastic, with comments like "Excellent ga undi Anna" and "Finally a good script, interesting looking forward."
Kiran Abbavaram made his debut in 2019 with the hit film Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru. He has experienced both successes and setbacks in his career, leading him to take a break and reevaluate his choices. Films like Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, Meter and Rules Ranjann, released in 2023, received lukewarm responses. Now, with KA, all eyes are on Kiran as he prepares for a significant comeback. In addition to his professional life, Kiran got engaged to his first co-star, Rahasya Gorak, in March this year.
KA is directed by debutants Sujith and Sandeep and produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under Srichakraas Entertainments. KA will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
