Adah Sharma-starrer 'The Kerala Story' has already crossed Rs 60 crore mark at the box office and is eyeing to enter the Rs 100 crore club. The movie has been surrounded by several controversies and even got banned in some states. Despite the controversies, 'The Kerala Story' has been performing exceptionally well at the box office.

The Kerala Story Box Office Collection:

According to the website sacnilk, 'The Kerala Story' collected Rs 12 crore approximately on day 7 as per early estimates. It collected Rs 12 crore on day 6 and its total box office collection now stands at Rs 80.86 crore approximately.

The movie has been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, the Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh called the decision of making the film tax-free 'good'.

"Making 'The Kerala Story' tax-free is a very good decision. I want the people of Uttar Pradesh to watch this film and understand how our sisters have suffered. We will also go and watch the film. The people in West Benegal will not accept the ban on this film," he said.

If a movie has been made tax-free, it does not mean that the tickets will be available for free. It means that the state has waived the levy of entertainment tax and the tickets will be available at a discount.

Expressing gratitude for the success of 'The Kerala Story', Adah Sharma wrote, "Thank you to all the crores of you who are going to watch our film, thank you for making it a trend, thank you for loving my performance. Recently, a crew member of 'The Kerala Story' received a threatening message from an unknown number. According to the Mumbai Police, Sudipto Sen informed police about the same and the message threatened the person not to step out alone from home.
