The Sabarmati Report Review: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, discussed his take on The Sabarmati Report on X (formerly known as Twitter). At a special screening for NDA MPs, the political leader watched the movie alongside PM Narendra Modi and other NDA leaders. Vikrant Massey and other cast members attended the screening of the historical drama too.
On Monday, the movie was held at the Parliament Complex Library's Balyogi Auditorium. Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and other NDA MPs and Union Ministers attended the screening as well. Kangana Ranaut, who had previously referred to Vikrant as a 'cockroach,' was also spotted in the photos at the screening.

Amit Shah posted pictures from the exclusive screening and heaped praises on the film. He said "The film 'The Sabarmati Report' introduced the countrymen to the truth of Godhra. Through this film, people are getting to know how an ecosystem kept such a big truth hidden from the country for years. Today I watched this film with Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and NDA MPs. Congratulations to the entire team of 'The Sabarmati Report' film for this commendable effort (translated from Hindi)."

About The Sabarmati Report
The Sabarmati Report is based on the February 27, 2002, burning of the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express train close to Godhra station in Gujarat. At least 59 Hindu passengers were burned to death in the Sabarmati Express fire event while returning from Ayodhya. The movie, directed by Dheeraj Sarna, is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan.

For the unversed, Vikrant Massey announced his retirement at the same time as the screening. The actor shared a post on Instagram just hours before he boarded a plane to New Delhi for the screening of The Sabarmati Report. "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise its time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father and a Son. And also as an Actor (sic)," he wrote.
The note further read, "So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between (sic)."
