Mukesh Khanna popularly known for his character as 'Shaktiman' burst on the entire team of Prabhas led 'Adipurush.' The television actor also expressed his disappointment with the cringe dialogues, poor VFX used, and the outfits used in the film.
Taking it to his Youtube video, the actor was seen strongly slamming the film's poor screenplay and script, while also commenting on the direction of Om Raut. However, the film grossed over Rs 375 crore amidst receiving negative criticism from the audience and critics.
According to a report of India Today, Mukesh Khanna called 'Adipurush' a 'terrible joke' on 'Ramayana.' He said, "Who has given the right to anyone to insult our scriptures? I have even said that both of them have not even read Ramayan. Those who don't know which blessing Ravan has received. They passed the blessing of Hiranya Kashyap of Ravan."
He further continued, "While Shiv ji had blessed Ravan, now those who do not have that much knowledge, then you are talking big things. It is rubbish. They should not be forgiven. Yesterday. I said on my channel that this whole team should be burnt standing at fifty degrees Celsius."
Mukesh Khanna greatly criticized the director and writer of the film, Om Raut and Manoj Muntashi for defending their film, where he said, "I thought that when all this has happened, they will hide their face, but they are coming forward and explaining this much."
He also said, "They are saying that we are making it for Sanatan Dharma. Hey, is your Sanatan Dharma different from ours? They said that there was the version of Valmiki ji, then there was the version of Tulsidas ji, this is our version."
'Adipurush' has been receiving negative criticism since the release of the film, however, the film has been earning greatly based on 'word of mouth.' Even Arun Govil and Sunil Lehri, who played Ram and Lakshman in the hit TV show, 'Ramayana' condemned the film for its dialogues and clothes, where the film was released on June 16.
'Adipurush' is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang.
