Timothée Chalamet is solidifying his status as Hollywood's newest superstar, with reports revealing that he earned a hefty $8 million for his role in 'Wonka' and is set to receive even higher fees following the success of 'Dune Part Two'. The 28-year-old actor's portrayal of Willy Wonka in the prequel film 'Wonka', released in December 2023, garnered critical acclaim and proved to be a box office hit, grossing over $600 million worldwide.
Chalamet's star power continued to shine with the release of 'Dune Part Two', which has already amassed over $369 million at the box office since its release on March 1. His back-to-back successes have positioned him as a leading man in Hollywood, drawing comparisons to iconic actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise.

The success of both 'Wonka' and 'Dune Part Two' has paved the way for Chalamet to negotiate higher salaries, with reports suggesting that he could be looking at paydays in the double digits for leading roles in studio films. While Warner Bros. has yet to confirm a contract for "Dune: Part Three," director Denis Villeneuve has expressed interest in continuing the franchise, which could further boost Chalamet's earnings.
Despite starring in projects with established fan bases, producers credit Chalamet's star power for the success of his recent films. Mary Parent, a producer on 'Dune', described Chalamet as a legitimate movie star, highlighting his ability to captivate audiences.
