Shocking news for The New Six fans has been announced recently that its member Kyungjun will leave the group and will serve the nation. On October 23, the official page of the popular kpop band shared the news on its social media handles. In their statement, they shared that  Kyungjun decided to join the military and would leave the group. It also mentioned that the members would now continue as five. This news shocked fans of Kyungjun and they are ready to wait until he completes his service. 

In the post, The New Six wrote “Hello from P NATION. This is a notice regarding THE NEW SIX and its member KYUNG JUN. KYUNG JUN recently informed us of his decision to enlist in the military and to leave THE NEW SIX upon completing his service. After much deliberation, P NATION and KYUNG JUN have mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract.” 

They further added, “As of October 23rd, 2024, KYUNG JUN will be departing from THE NEW SIX. Thorough discussions with TAE HUN, HYUN SOO, JUN HYEOK, HWI, and SUNG JUN have reaffirmed their solidarity towards THE NEW SIX. We are sincerely grateful for the unwavering love and we kindly ask for your continued support and encouragement for THE NEW SIX’s new beginnings. Thank you.”

After the news was shared by the official page of the group, fans showed their disappointment. A user said, “We can wait…. No need to leave….” A fan wrote, “WHY WOULD KYUNGJUN LEAVE LIKE??????? WE CAN WAIT WTF PNATION.” A tweet read, “BRO WHAT ISN’T HE AUSTRALIAN.” Another mentioned, “pls be lying, not my sweet kyungjun.” A fan mentioned, “Kyungjun, thinking from the past few days, I realized you were giving signs to enlist. Please stay healthy while serving, but I wish you and Pnation could still negotiate to comeback to The New Six after please? We will wait no matter what but it's up to you stay safe.” 

Notably, The New Six debuted in 2022. The group was formed through the survival show Loud. They released a non-album single titled Fuego.
