Tripti Dimri is trending these days after starring in the most talked about film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. The movie has got mixed reviews from critics and audiences but continues its stellar run at the box office with a collection of more than Rs 300 crores within four days of its release. Tripti Dimri is in the headlines because of her intimate scene with the movie's rather violent protagonist portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor which has set the internet on fire. What followed is pretty obvious in today's world of ‘trending on X’ and getting ‘likes and shares’ on Instagram. Her Instagram followers increased in a whirlwind and now she has over a million followers in a short period.

Laila Majnu:
Imtiaz Ali’s younger brother, Sajid Ali poured his soul into making ‘Laila Majnu’ (his directorial debut) which is one of the most underrated movies of 2018. With brilliant music, aesthetics, and a modern-day twist to the ancient tragic tale of star-crossed lovers who can't be together, the movie had Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary in the lead roles.

Dimri's performance as a naive Kashmiri girl, though appreciated, got overshadowed by the film’s low scores at the box office. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble in 2022, Dimri said, “After Laila Majnu failed, I doubted being an actor.”
Today, 5 years later, after its scenes and songs became popular on the internet with time because of the movie’s OTT release, Laila Majnu can easily be found on an ardent cinema lover’s favourite list.

Bulbbul:
Lyricist and Screenwriter turned Director, Anvita Dutt in her directorial debut made a movie that is not your regular supernatural, romance or revenge drama but has elements of all of these combined into one. Released on Netflix in 2020 when the pandemic was ruling the world, Bulbbul came as a fresh escape for the viewers.

Tripti Dimri is ‘Qala’, literally as her character is called Qala Manjushree and art because of her acting brilliance. She is a child seeking her mother's love and a popular singer later. But is she ever happy in between? Find the answers to these questions after watching the movie and getting a glimpse of Dimri's talent. The movie will not disappoint as it has something for everyone - great cinematography, acting, and Amit Trivedi’s music.

Bollywood has seen very little of Tripti Dimri. There's a lot more to her and she is to be seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa’s upcoming movie ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ alongside another Bollywood raw gem, Rajkummar Rao. The pairing is unique and is expected to be a great one. The movie poster was released in September and details related to its release and plot are awaited.
