Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s latest rom-com film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box-office. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film released on Holi 2023.

Talking about the film, Shraddha Kapoor how playing a confident girl in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was refreshing. “It’s such a different character from what I’ve played in ‘Aashiqui 2’ and other films after that. She is a girl who is more in charge, she is on the front foot and is confident. For me, it was refreshing to play a character who says what she feels. She is a girl-next-door with some ‘tadka (spice)’. It was a first for me,” the actor said in an interview with PTI.

The actor added, “When he told me about the film, the story was entertaining. My character was something I was excited to play because she is not something who I’m. It was a challenge for me as an actor.”

Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The film also stars Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles and is slated to be released in August 2023.
