Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Box Office Collection: Ranbir-Shraddha’s Film Sees Huge DROP On Day 13, Collects THIS Much So Far

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s romantic-comedy film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar witnessed a huge drop in its box-office collections on Monday. The film released theatrically on March 8, 2023 and has faced tough clash against new releases including Zwigato, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway and Kabzaa.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on Day 13 collected over Rs 1.96 crore, witnessing a huge drop in its collections from Day 12, which stood at Rs 7.16 crore. The film has so far collected Rs 111.1 crore in India. Worldwide, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’s box-office collection stood at Rs 163.8 crore.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar stars Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoo, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor. The film has been helmed by Luv Ranjan.

Talking about the film in a press interaction, Shraddha Kapoor said that she felt refreshed to play the role of a young, independent and career-driven woman in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, who is ‘front foot and confident’.

“It’s such a different character from what I’ve played in ‘Aashiqui 2’ and other films after that. She is a girl who is more in charge, she is on the front foot and is confident. For me, it was refreshing to play a character who says what she feels. She is a girl-next-door with some ‘tadka’. It was a first for me,” Shraddha Kapoor told PTI in an interview.

The Stree star further added, “When he told me about the film, the story was entertaining. My character was something I was excited to play because she is not something who I’m. It was a challenge for me as an actor.”

Talking about Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor said, “He is a superb actor. The way he performs is brilliant and amazing. It made me want to do better and I felt inspired. He is a big superstar and there is a reason for it. He has consistently proven himself and his versatility as an actor. It was great to work with him."
