Abhijeet Bhattacharya Slams Chunari Chunari Remake: A formal announcement about Varun Dhawan led Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was officially announced. The movie, which also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde has apparently recreated Abhijeet Bhattacharya's famous Chunari Chunari song from Biwi No. 1. The well-known singer has clarified that he 'doesn't care' about the remake.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Anuradha Sriram lend their vocals to the song Chunari Chunari, picturised on Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. Hindustan Times reached out the singer to understand his thoughts about the alleged remake of the song. He revealed that the director and the music composer were afraid to tell him about redoing it again. 

Abhijeet Bhattacharya stated that he was not informed about the recreating this song. The makers, he said, would not have the 'himmat' (audacity) to challenge him. "Mujhe music composer, film ke director kisi ne nahi bataya ki iss song ko remake kiya jaa raha hai. Himmat bhi nahi kar sakte batane ki," he said. 

Considering that Chunari Chunari is still very famous, he was asked how he felt about its remake. Abhijeet Bhattacharya added, "Mujhe farak nahi padhta itni chhoti cheez se. I don’t get involved much. In the market, copies are sold more than the original. Only great people know the value of the original. Tuchhi cheez mein main padhta hi nahi hoon."

Abhijeet Bhattacharya revealed he doesn't consider Chunari Chunari as a 'great song'. He felt it was more like 'jaldi gaao aur bhaago studio se' song.

The song Chunari Chunari, which features Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen, is particularly beloved by Hindi music lovers. Initially included in the 1999 movie Biwi No.1, the upbeat song quickly gained popularity and the lyrics continue to make people dance. However, the video of Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur performing this catchy song went viral on internet. Despite the lack of formal confirmation, fans voiced their discontent with the remake.
