Did you know that BTS vocalist V's real name is Kim Taehyung which means 'to be immensely successful'? Reportedly, similar to many South Koreans, V's parents had a conception dream known as taemong. V has previously shared that his father had a dream in which he triumphed over a dragon and received a valuable gem as a reward.

According to Korean tradition, the taemong is experienced either by the expectant mother or by people closely associated with the upcoming birth. These dreams are believed to provide insight into various aspects such as the conception or birth of a child, the gender of the child, or even their destiny.

During a profile questionnaire for the magazine The Star in 2015, V shared an interesting detail about his father's dream. According to a report by Koreaboo, V mentioned that his father had a dream where he engaged in a game of pool with a dragon and emerged victorious. As a result, his father received a magical pearl from the dragon, and V was believed to have come into existence from that very pearl.

During an appearance on the SBS 2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show alongside his fellow BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, V once again brought up his father's taemong. In a video clip shared by a fan on YouTube, the singer passionately recounted his father's dream, adding a touch of drama to his storytelling.

"One day, my father had a dream of a dragon. He played a game of billiards with the dragon. He won the game, so it gave him its Yeouiju (a jewel that fulfills wishes, which was the dragon's prized possession)," he said.

V, renowned for his deep voice, recently captivated fans by performing the song "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" at a Jazz club in Paris. Demonstrating his musical versatility, V also showcased his talent by collaborating with Minna Seo on a duet rendition of the timeless song "Cheek to Cheek" originally performed by Fred Astaire.
